"Tylor" Zombie

Monster card (front). Printed title: "Tylor" Zombie, on a parchment banner at the top. The card art shows a green zombie with red eyes and a gaping mouth, standing among grey rocks. The card's type banner at the bottom reads "MONSTER".

Card Stats

  • Health: 1. The red blood drop at the top right of the card carries the number 1.
  • Reward: 2 gold coins. Two stacked gold coin icons appear below the blood drop. Per the base rulebook, a hero collects this many gold coins in the Resolution Phase for destroying this monster.
  • Monster Metre: not printed on the card face. The base rulebook says each Monster card's Monster Metre icon (family and level) is on the back of the card. The back of this card was not part of the source, so family and level are not stated here.

Shot Sequence

The card shows two shot icons, separated by a vertical divider, read left to right:

  1. White fist (a melee shot carrying the fear modifier)
  2. Blue fist (a melee shot carrying the stun modifier)

The divider means the Overseer performs one of the two shot sequences, not both.

Notes on the icons

  • Or connector. The base rulebook defines the "Or" connector as the icon placed between two alternative shot sequences. The player must declare which sequence they are choosing before performing it, and can never perform every shot on a card when an "Or" connector is present. The base rulebook notes that this connector can also appear horizontally. The vertical divider on this card is read as the "Or" connector. This is an inference: the base rulebook does not print this divider glyph.
  • Melee shot. The base rulebook names the melee shot as a character shot that inflicts one point of damage by default. Both fist icons are read as melee shots. The sibling Shadowlithe Fist promo reads a red fist as the melee shot, but this card's fists are white and blue, not red, so the base shot is read from the fist shape and not from the colour. This is a judgment call.
  • Fear modifier (white). The base rulebook colours the fear shot modifier white, and says that when a modifier is applied the shot icon takes a different colour from the base shot. The white fist is therefore read as a melee shot with the fear modifier. Per the base rulebook, the fear shot modifier strikes fear into the affected character and forces them to run away. The attacker who damages a target with the fear shot modifier may immediately perform a single, unmodifiable rush shot with the affected character (including those that are stunned). This is an inference from the colour key, not printed on the card.
  • Stun modifier (blue). The base rulebook colours the stun shot modifier blue. The blue fist is therefore read as a melee shot with the stun modifier. Per the base rulebook, a stun modifier leaves the affected hero temporarily able to perform only a single rush shot. The Stunned! card is placed over the affected hero's Rules card, and it is removed when that hero is hit directly by any melee or rush shot from one of their teammates (including another stunned hero), or when the Battle Phase for the room ends. This is an inference from the colour key, not printed on the card.
  • Monster card rules. Monster cards are used by the Overseer during the Battle Phase: each monster takes one turn per round, and its actions are the shot sequences shown on the card. Monster rules not restated on the card face (such as health, rewards and defensive properties) are in the base rulebook under "Monster Cards" and are not repeated here.

Scan note: the source is a single card photo (BGG image id 5930264, 4032x3024). The stats and icons are legible at that size. Only the printed stats and icons are transcribed; no other text appears on the card face besides the title, the type banner, and the copyright line, which is omitted as attribution.

  • No card name or hero attribution. The card face names only the monster. Nothing on the card attributes it to a family or to a Catacomb Lord.
