Objective
Flip your cubes closest to the ball to score points. Be the first player to score 5 points.
Set up
Place the board on a level table. Place the ball in the centre hole on the board. Give each player 3 cubes of the same colour, 1 flipper, 1 scoring track and 1 scoring peg. Put the scoring peg in the zero hole on the scoring track. Agree who will go first and take turns clockwise.
Playing structure
The game is played over a series of rounds, in each round you have 3 flips (1 per cube).
Play
On your turn, position your flipper anywhere around the table. Put one of your cubes onto the end of the flipper. Take aim, then hit the other end of the flipper with your finger to send the cube flying onto the board. The next player takes their turn. Continue to take turns until all the cubes have been flipped then end the round.
End of round
Award and record points. All players take back all their cubes. Return the ball to the centre hole on the board. Start a new round. (The player who scored the points in the last round plays first in the new round.)
Continue playing rounds until someone wins.
Scoring points
Score 1 point for each cube that is closer to the ball than all opponent cubes. The maximum points that can be scored in one round is 3.
Equal distance
Cubes of different colours that appear to be the same distance from the ball cannot score points.
Failed Flip
If your die does not flip onto the board it cannot score a point.
On the edge
A cube that ends up resting on the raised border can score a point.
Ball position
The ball will often be moved by the cubes, this is part of the game, do not return the ball to the centre until the end of the round.
CARREAU
If your flipped cube causes the ball to leave the board it is called 'Carreau'. You immediately score 3 points and the round ends. (At this point you may wish to shout 'Carreau' and punch the air).
Winning
The first player to score 5 points wins the game.
