Table of Contents
Components
- 55 Order Cards
- 5 sets of 7 Ingredient Cards each
Goal of the Game
Burger ASAP is an observation and speed game in which players try to make as many burgers as possible to win the game.
Set Up
- Each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding set of Ingredient Cards.
- Shuffle the Order Cards to form a pile in the center of the table for all players to see. The last person to eat a burger is the first player.
- We recommend playing the first games with only the Order Cards with 1 and 2 stars. For extra difficulty, you can add the Order Cards with 3 stars during setup.
How to Play
- The first player reveals the first Order Card of the pile and places it face up for all players to see.
- Each player tries to make the indicated burger(s) by flipping and overlapping their Ingredient Cards according to the following rules:
- A. Ingredient Cards may partially overlap each other. The Double Steak Card (see below) cannot be covered though.
- B. When Ingredient Cards overlap, half of the covered card must remain visible. You cannot cover the whole card.
- C. You need to use all of your Ingredient Cards.
- When a player thinks they have completed the requested burger(s), they shout out loud "Burger!" while hitting the Order Card. All the other players immediately stop their action.
- All the other players check if that player's burger(s) match(es) the Order Card, according to the rules.
- If the burger(s) match(es) the Order Card, the player takes the Order Card and starts a new round by revealing a new Order Card.
- If the burger(s) do(es) not match, the other players keep trying to make the requested burger(s). The player who got it wrong is eliminated until next round. The other players continue until one of them makes the correct burger(s). All the other players check if the burger(s) match(es) the Order Card, according to the rules.
Example
The printed example shows a set of burgers checked against an Order Card, labelled Valid order (checkmark) and Invalid order (cross).
End of the Game
The game ends when:
- a player has a total of 5 stars when you play with Order Cards with 1 and 2 stars.
- a player has a total of 7 stars when you play with all the Order Cards.
