Setup
- A game board whose 4 sides each have 6 numbered cells (alvéoles).
- 4 sets of 6 dice.
- 2 throwing dice, 4 coins (pièces) and 24 tokens (jetons).
- Each player hides a coin in one of the 6 cells on their own side. Then each player places a token and a die of their colour on each cell, with the 6 face up (fig. 1).
- A random draw determines who starts.
Goal of the Game
Discover the coin of your opponent (or opponents).
Course of a Game
On each turn, the player throws the 2 throwing dice, then, depending on the result, chooses one of the following:
- remove points from an opposing die,
- or remove an opposing token that is no longer protected by a die,
- or add points to one of their own dice.
Removing points from an opposing die (fig. 1a/1b)
If the throw gives a 6 and a 3, the player removes from the opponent of their choice:
- 3 points from the die numbered 6 (fig. 1a),
- or 6 points from the die numbered 3 (fig. 1b).
If the player removes all the points from an opposing die, that die is removed from the game for good (fig. 1b). Surplus points from the throw are not counted.
The thrower cannot remove a die and a token in the same turn.
The thrower may give up their throw in order to remove a single point from any opposing die.
Removing an opposing token that is no longer protected (fig. 2)
If the throw allows it, the thrower may remove a token that is alone on a cell (having lost its die) (fig. 2). The token is then removed from the game for good (fig. 2a). If the opponent's coin is revealed, that opponent is eliminated (fig. 2b).
Adding points to one of your dice (fig. 3)
The thrower may choose to add points to one of their own dice still in play. A die cannot show more than 6 points, and surplus points are not counted.
Fig. 3: the player may add 3 points to their die numbered 6 (fig. 3a), or a maximum of 5 points to their die numbered 3 (fig. 3b).
Swapping dice (fig. 4)
Before a player uses their throw, the opponents may swap their 2 dice that correspond to the throw. Fig. 4: the players may swap their dice numbered 6 and 3 (fig. 4a).
It is also possible to swap a die with an empty cell (fig. 4b).
End of the Game
A player whose coin is revealed is eliminated (fig. 2b).
The last player still in the game is the winner.
Duration
15 to 20 minutes.
