Rules of the game

Preparing the Game

  1. Place the game board in the centre of the table. Place the broom and the die beside it.
  2. Each player chooses a figure and places it on the starting area of the game board.
  3. Now use the broom to make sure all the figures lie with the side facing up that is attracted to the broom. If everything is correct, you can begin the game.

Object of the Game

Young witches and wizards are allowed to fly on a broom only under the supervision of their elders. However, they all do it secretly anyway. But what is the catch? Sometimes the broom refuses to carry them! Here is the secret: each figure has two sides, but only one of them is suitable for flying. Only the players whose figures lie on the correct side can take off into the air on the broom.

So keep a close eye on which side your figure is lying on.

How to Play

Players take turns. The participant who last held the broom starts the game by rolling the die.

If the die shows a number: Move your figure forward the number of spaces shown on the die.

If the die shows the broom: Take the broom by its handle and bring it down from above onto your figure. If the figure is attracted to the broom, you may immediately fly to the next area that shows a picture of a broom. If the figure is not attracted to the broom, the broom stays where it is.

If the die shows a number and the flip symbol: Move your figure forward the number of spaces shown on the die. In addition, before or after your move, you must flip the figure of any other player of your choice. Then the turn passes to the next player, who rolls the die.

How the Game Ends

As soon as one of the players reaches the area with the magic orb, that player immediately wins the witches' race.
