SpiderBeans Harvest Rule

When harvesting a field that contains SpiderBeans, every change from one bean colour to another is rewarded. It makes no difference how many SpiderBeans of the same colour lie in a row in the field.

The change is shown on the card with an arrow symbol followed by a SpiderBean icon, which stands for a change of colour.

Examples

The card shows seven examples. Each example shows the beans in a field, the number of colour changes, and the payout. The payout is shown as coins.

  • One SpiderBean, either colour ("or"): no coins are paid. The payout is shown as a crossed-out coin.
  • Two grey SpiderBeans: no change. One coin is paid.
  • Three red SpiderBeans: no change. One coin is paid.
  • Red, red, grey, grey: one change. A stack of coins is paid.
  • Red, grey: one change. A stack of coins is paid.
  • Grey, red, red, grey: two changes. A larger stack of coins is paid.
  • Grey, grey, red, grey, red: three changes. The largest stack of coins is paid.

The examples show that a payout rises with the number of colour changes, and that runs of the same colour do not add a change.

Transcriber's note: the photo does not let the exact number of coins in the stacks for one, two and three changes be read reliably. Those counts are not transcribed. Check the printed card, or the full English rulebook once it is available, before quoting exact payouts.
