The Colour Out of Space

Card type: spell (as named in the source; the type word is not printed legibly in the photo).

Card text (front, as printed on the card):

• [symbol]: Each time you place [black disc] in a Room, you may have the [Black Rose icon] inflict N[broken heart] on you. If you do, place N[black disc] in a [hexagon-0 icon] of yourself.

Card text (back, as printed on the card):

• [black disc]: Evocations that activate under your control have [star-burst icon] +3.

Duel – Void Event

Card type: Event card, with a green border. It has four turns. Each turn is a separate line of printed text. Read them in order.

Turn 1: Devotion

• [star]: Each Mage gains a Mark of the Old Ones card.

Turn 2: Fanaticism

• [star]: Each Mage gains a Mark of the Old Ones card.

Turn 3: Forbidden Ritual

• [star]: The [Black Rose icon] gains 3[token icon]. Until the End of the Turn, when a Mage places [black disc] due to an Effect of a Spell, that Mage may place 1[black disc] in a [hexagon-0 icon] of themselves.

Turn 4: Uncontrolled Decay

• [star]: The [Black Rose icon] gains 3[token icon]. Each Mage has [star-burst icon] +1 For each Mark of the Old Ones card they have.

Notes on the Cards

• The cards' printed text is the only rules text on them. This document reproduces that text and does not add rules beyond it.
• The Event card's footer and the spell's stamp both read "PROMO 2024". This is a set label, not a rule.
• Icons are printed as pictures and their names are not printed in the photos. In this file they are left as bracketed descriptions ([black disc], [Black Rose icon], [hexagon-0 icon], [broken heart], [star], [star-burst icon], [token icon], [symbol]). The surrounding wording is taken as printed. Where a reader needs the icon's name, the base rules and the Duel – Void rules define it; this file does not restate them.
• The spell's top icons (a crystal ball, a circled star and a witch's hat) are the card's school and type markers. They have no rules text of their own and are not transcribed further.
• The spell's front and back are two sides of one card. The front and back texts are each transcribed as printed, with no added timing or conditions.
• The Event card is a Duel – Void event. Its four turns are listed in the order printed on the card.
• The card is a preorder promo for Duel – Void. The BGG description states that the spell works with any Black Rose Wars game; that statement is not part of the cards' printed text and is not transcribed as a rule.
