Components
- 2 pads with 4 game scenarios (sheets)
- 2 dice
Also needed (not included): 1 pencil per person.
Setup
First, the players agree together on one of the four game scenarios. Then each player receives one sheet of the chosen scenario and places it clearly in front of them. Provide one pencil per player and take the dice out of the box. That's it, the game can begin!
Turn Sequence
The player who had a birthday most recently begins. They roll both dice and throw them into the middle. Everyone now enters the rolled symbols into two empty spaces on their own sheet. After that, play continues clockwise with rolling, and every player always records the result.
When entering the symbols, the following rules apply:
- From the two rolled symbols, each player chooses one, which must be drawn directly next to an already entered or pre-printed symbol on their sheet. The second rolled symbol must in turn be drawn next to the first one.
- You may therefore draw the rolled symbols in any order you choose, but you must always enter both if two connected spaces are still free on your sheet, even if this is to your disadvantage.
- If both dice show symbols, you may not enter them into two single, unconnected spaces. You also may not enter only one of the rolled symbols and leave out the other.
- If one die shows no symbol, the symbol on the other die is entered as the first symbol, and no second symbol is entered.
- If both dice show no symbol, you may choose any symbol of your individual choice to enter as the first symbol, and no second symbol is entered.
Tip: Try to avoid creating single empty spaces on your sheet, since you may only fill them if one or both dice show no symbol.
Note: A player who was passed over when the artistic talent was distributed may draw the symbols in a simplified way, as long as they can be told apart easily.
End of the Game and Scoring
The game ends as soon as all players have filled all spaces on their sheet, or only single spaces remain that can no longer be filled. If a player has only single spaces left but two symbols have been rolled, that player must end their game. Players who can still enter symbols may continue playing until they too have no possibility left to enter. Players who have already finished may not re-enter the game if a later roll shows only one or no symbol.
Once all players have finished their game, the points are added up. The player with the most points wins the game. In the event of a tie, there are several winners.
Scoring on Sheet 1
- Each group of 3-5 connected houses is worth 10 points. Each group of 6 or more connected houses is worth 25 points. The same applies to trees, animals and flowers.
- For a pure water connection from the central water space to one of the four edges, there are 15 points each.
Scoring on Sheet 2
- Each group of 3 or more connected houses is worth 10 points. The same applies to trees, animals, flowers and water.
- For each house that has a tree, an animal, a flower and a water space next to it, there are 15 points. Circle the house when you achieve this.
Scoring on Sheet 3
- Each group of exactly 2 connected houses is worth 10 points. Each larger group scores no points. The same applies to trees, animals and flowers.
- For each house that has at least 3 water spaces next to it, there are 15 points. Circle the house when you achieve this.
Scoring on the Pro Sheet
The Pro sheet holds a special challenge, because most groups bring negative points. That is why it is harder to reach a high score.
- Each group of exactly 2 connected houses counts 5 negative points. Each larger group counts 10 negative points. The same applies to trees, animals and flowers.
- Each group of 3-5 connected water spaces is worth 10 points. Each group of 6 or more connected water spaces is worth 25 points.
- For each house that has at least 3 water spaces next to it, there are 15 points. Circle the house when you achieve this.
Solo Variant
You can also play alone. This works exactly like the basic game. Use the table to see how good your result is:

|---|---|
| 170+ points | Biotope Master |
| 150-165 points | Professional Topographer |
| 130-145 points | Landscape Gardener |
| 100-125 points | Groundworker |
| 0-95 points | Vagabond |
