  • 5 Beagle Tokens
  • 5 Bagel Tokens
  • 24 Treat Chips

Action Cards

  • Opposite Card: Changes the correct answer to whichever image is showing the least number of times.
    • Note: If two Opposite Cards are showing, they cancel each other.
  • Hot Dog Card: The correct answer will be "Beagle" no matter how many dogs and bagels are in play.
  • Bagel Dog Card: The correct answer will be "Bagel" no matter how many dogs and bagels are in play.
    • Note: If a Hot Dog Card and a Bagel Dog Card are showing, they cancel each other.
  • Double Beagle Card: Counts as two "Beagles" when in play.
  • Double Bagel Card: Counts as two "Bagels" when in play.

Make sure to shuffle the cards well each game, so that the cards are evenly distributed throughout the deck.

Game 1: Discard Down

Object of the game

Be the first player to call out if there are more beagles or bagels visible on the table, and get rid of one card from your pile.

The first player to run out of cards is the winner.

Set Up

Depending on the number of players, place this number of cards in the center of the table:

  • 2 Players: 5 cards
  • 3 Players: 4 cards
  • 4 Players: 3 cards
  • 5 Players: 2 cards
  • 6 Players: 1 card

Give 10 cards to each player, and place them in a pile in front of them, so that only the top card of each player's pile is visible to all players.

Tokens and Chips are not used in this game.

Playing the game

On the count of 3, all players flip their entire pile of cards in front of them.

Players then look at all the cards showing on the table (the ones in the center of the table and the ones on top of each pile) and race to call out: "Beagle" or "Bagel".

The first player to call out the correct answer immediately takes the top card of their pile, and flips it on top of any of the cards in the center of the table. This action reveals a new card on top of their pile, and replaces a card in the center. As soon as the card is flipped, the game continues, and all players race to find the correct answer for the new combination of cards in play.

If two players call out the correct answer at the same time, they both take the top card on their pile, and flip it on top of a card in the center of the table.

If there is a tie between the number of Beagles and Bagels, then the first player to call out "Tie!" wins the round and flips their top card on top of the pile of their choice.

End of the game

The game continues until one player runs out of cards in their pile. They immediately win the game.

Game 2: Take a Token

Object of the game

Quickly decide if there are more beagles or bagels visible on the table, and then call out the answer and grab the corresponding token.

The last player with Treat Chips remaining is the winner.

Set up

Place the appropriate number of Beagle and Bagel tokens in the center of the table. There should always be one fewer token than the number of players remaining in the game.

For example, if there are 4 players in the game, there should be 3 Beagle tokens and 3 Bagel tokens in the center of the table.

Divide the cards evenly between the players and place them in a pile in front of each player.

Each player gets 4 Treat Chips.

Playing the game

On the count of 3, all players flip the top card of their pile so it shows its opposite side. Players then look at all the cards on the table (on top of each player's pile) and race to grab the token corresponding to the correct answer: Beagle or Bagel.

Whoever did not grab the correct token loses a Treat Chip at the end of the round.

If there is a tie between Beagles or Bagels, then no token should be grabbed, and any player who does loses a Treat Chip.

At the end of each round, place the tokens back in the center of the table and place the top card of each pile on the bottom. Then, when all players are ready, at the count of 3, all players flip the new top card of their pile and the race continues.

If a player ever runs out of Treat Chips, then they are out of the game. Remove 1 of each type of token from the center of the table, and then continue until a winner is determined.

Note: For 2, 3 or 4-player games

Players flip their cards on top of a separate discard pile, next to their original pile. Players then look at the cards showing on top of each player's pile AND discard, and then race to grab the token corresponding to the correct answer.

End of the game

The game continues until only one player has Treat Chips left. This player is the winner.

Game 3: Winner Takes All

Object of the game

Be the first to call out if there are more beagles or bagels visible on the table and score all cards in play.

The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner.

Set Up

Depending on the number of players, place this number of cards in the center of the table:

  • 2 Players: 5 cards
  • 3 Players: 4 cards
  • 4 Players: 3 cards
  • 5 Players: 2 cards
  • 6 Players: 1 card

Give 8 cards to each player for an 8-Round game. Players keep these cards in a pile in their hands.

The rest of the cards are placed in a separate pile that will be used to replenish the cards in the center of the table.

Tokens and Chips will not be used in this game.

Playing the game

On the count of 3, all players flip the top card from the pile in their hand and place it on the table in front of themselves, visible to all.

Players then look at all the cards in play (the ones in the center of the table and the ones in front of each player) and race to call out: "Beagle" or "Bagel".

The first player to call out the correct answer takes all the cards in play and places them in a scoring pile on the table next to them.

Then the cards in the center of the table are replaced with new ones. And when all players are ready, at the count of 3, each player reveals a new card from the pile in their hand and the game continues.

If there is a tie between the number of Beagles and Bagels, then the first one to call out the tie correctly wins the cards.

If 2 players call out the answer at the same time, then no cards are scored this round, and the cards flipped in front of each player remain where they are.

End of the game

The game continues until the 8 rounds are over. Players count the cards in their scoring pile. The player with the most cards is the winner. In case of a tie, the victory is shared.
