You start the game without excavators and concrete mixers. Instead, you receive 8 Excamixers. You may use these special machines as jokers: they count as both excavators and concrete mixers. You can still buy machinery in the assembly shop and acquire it through game effects. You can place Excamixers on the construction wheel and even combine them with regular machinery. You may also use Excamixers for third-party contracts, but doing so permanently removes them from your supply.
If during your turn you decide to copy this power with Mahiri Sekibo, your machinery counts as Excamixers for the duration of that turn. At the end of the turn, it stops counting as Excamixers.
Automa rules. When building and fulfilling third-party contracts, the Automa tries to use excavators and concrete mixers first, and only then Excamixers.

This executive officer gives you an additional construction action space. You may use it once per round, and it follows the same rules as the construction action spaces on the company boards. This means you can perform 5 construction actions per round, or save engineers/credits by using this action space instead of the one on the board.
If during your turn you decide to copy this power with Mahiri Sekibo, you may perform a construction action by placing 2 of your engineers in the bank. This does not give you credits from the bank.
Automa rules. The Automa does not use this officer's additional construction action space.
When determining the Automa's action, check the columns in a new order: first the second column (construction), then the first column (energy production, water supply, contract department), then the third column (other actions). In addition, the Automa's first construction in each round costs it 1 fewer engineer. Place the engineer used as a reminder on this officer's additional construction action space. In the case of building a private building, simply place 1 credit in the construction space as a reminder.
