Module Setup
Module Setup Card (printed text):
At the beginning of each round, shuffle all Mask cards back into the Mask deck and deal Masks face-up into the Mask tableau equal to the number of players, plus one. On a player's turn, as an Action, they may gain a Mask from the Mask tableau. That player immediately resolves any Instant effects on the Mask. While a player has a Mask, they gain the Passive effect of that Mask for the duration of the round (including during any Instant effect a Mask may have).

FAQ
Quoted verbatim from the BGG FAQ thread for this expansion (thread 1991724).
Can you have more than one Mask?
No! Sorry this was left out of the setup. This is very important. Masks are powerful. It should have specified that players may only have one Mask. Two would just be uncomfortable!
Does Planar Endorsement let you Shadow your own mage?
Yes, cards can always break rules.
When can you use The Masks of Shadows and Beguilement?
Whenever you place mages. Otherwise, their passive effects wouldn't do much! But not when you are moved, only when you place the mages.
Mask of Momentum: Can this effect trigger any number of times per turn, if you keep placing mages into instant-effect rooms?
Yes! If you have the mana to power it you could place all your mages in one turn this way.
Since the Mask of Clockwork says "any", can I use my opponent's cards?
No! But nice try. You have what it takes to scheme your way into the Chancellorship. ;)
