How many dice can I roll in a battle, and can cards exceed six?
The rulebook sets the six-die limit and publisher posts clarified the card exceptions.

No participant may roll more than six dice, including bonuses from upgrades. Dice added by cards after the roll (such as Perfect Shot or Unseen Ally) are results added to the roll, so they can exceed six, and Antimatter Ray can remove one of them. Each player energy spent in preparations adds +1 die, in turn order, once each.
