Components

  • 90 question cards
  • 16 cards from the "CACHONDA" expansion
  • 3 violet cards
  • 1 crown card
  • 1 rulebook (this one!)

Setup

Set aside the 3 violet cards and the crown card. Shuffle the rest of the cards and place the deck, face down, in the center of the table within everyone's reach.

The starting player is the last person to have gone to the bathroom to take a poop.

How to Play

A game of Amigos de Mierda is played in turns, starting with the Starting Player (the one who went to the bathroom) and proceeding clockwise. Each turn is played as follows:

  • The player draws a card from the deck and reads it aloud.
  • All players (including the one who read the card) take a few seconds (only a few) to think of the answer.
  • Once everyone has thought, the player who read the card counts down: 3... 2... 1...
  • On 1, everyone must simultaneously point a finger at the person they chose as their answer to the question (see the illustration on the following page).
  • The player with the most people pointing at them is the winner? and keeps the card, placing it in front of them.

IMPORTANT

You must choose someone, and it is FORBIDDEN to choose yourself.

From time to time, a "difficult" card may come up. Deal with it! Difficult is fighting cancer, not telling your friend that you think they are bad in bed.

CLARIFICATION: In case of a tie in a vote, any player who did NOT vote for the tied players may change their vote and vote for one of the players who are tied. If the tie still persists, the vote of the player who read the prompt breaks the tie.

Illustration (page 3 of the rulebook): players are shown pointing at one another. The player with 3 votes is marked "Ganó la carta" ("Won the card"); the other players show 2 votes, 1 vote, and 0 votes (three players).

End of the Game

The game ends when a player has won 5 cards. That player is crowned Amigo/a de Mierda ("Shitty Friend").

Take a photo with all the cards won and the crown card included in the deck. Then upload it to Instagram tagging @bureaudejuegos so that we can show all our followers the kind of humans they are.

You will notice that the deck also has 3 violet cards. Use them after finishing the game. Or don't. Whatever. It's your life.

Variants

Longer or shorter games: For a shorter or longer game, you may change the number of cards needed to win. 7 cards is ideal for a long game, and 4 for a short game or one with many players.

Invisible Friend: This variant is played like a normal game, but before starting, each player writes on a piece of paper the name of a person or character who is NOT present and places it in front of them. When voting, you vote for the character on the paper and not for a player.

Drinking Variant: Same as the normal Amigos de Mierda, but drinking. In addition to the common rules:

  • Whenever someone wins a vote without needing a tie-break, that person drinks.
  • If someone wins a vote unanimously, they drink double.
  • If at any point all players but one have no cards, the one without cards drinks.
  • In case of a tie, everyone drinks.
  • If someone laughs while reading the card, they drink.
  • Whenever a player complains about the result of a vote, that player drinks.

Poker Variant: Played the same as a normal game, but instead of using the deck included in the game, it is played with a standard French deck of playing cards (not included in the game), and instead of the rules in this manual, these rules are used: www.bureaudejuegos.com/reglas-poker/
