The accompanying app "Alleswisser" is designed so that the players are guided through the game and an extensive rulebook is not needed. Please nevertheless read the description under "Getting Started – The First Time".

Should further questions about rules, individual game settings or special game functions arise during the game, you will find in this manual all the information, which should also clear up the last questions. During a running game you get access to the manual by touching, after answering a question, the player's icon in the upper left corner or the three dots in the upper right corner, and then tapping the question mark that is now displayed.

(1) Alleswisser – The Board Game

... is a game for 2-4 players (or teams of 2 people each) with the goal of fighting for knowledge trophies in 9 categories or being the first to go around the board three times.

Getting Started – The First Time

  1. Install and start the free basic version of the app "Alleswisser".
  2. On the start screen, touch the die shown on the left for the game variant "Alleswisser – The Board Game" and enter the article number found on the back of the game board.
  3. Spread out the game board in front of you, position the tablet in the middle of the board and align the coloured player corners on the tablet with the same-coloured player corners on the game board.
  4. Place the desired number of pawns on the start space, distribute the coloured dice and put the small, round trophy tokens ready next to the game board. All players should always roll two dice of their player colour and choose the number of pips that brings the greater advantage.
  5. Now create a player profile for each player by tapping the "+" icon, consisting of name, age and gender, and confirm the player profile with "OK".
  6. Position all players taking part by selecting the player profile and tapping the respective corner of the game screen. Up to 2 players can be assigned to each corner at the same time. These form a team during the game.
  7. Start the game by tapping the arrow and follow the further instructions on the screen.
  8. Have fun!

Rules of the Game

After you have followed all the points given under "Getting Started – The First Time", the game begins. Regardless of the number and seating position of the players, the youngest player or the team with the youngest player (in the rest of this manual always called the "active player") always begins the game and now has the task of rolling the dice, touching the number rolled on the display and making his first move clockwise according to the number of pips on the die.

By touching the display again, the first question from the rolled category is asked. The active player has the task of answering it by tapping the correct answer on the display before the answer time of 30 seconds runs out. If the question was answered correctly, a second task is posed. Only when two directly consecutive questions have been answered correctly has the player won the category trophy (coloured token in the colour of the category); he takes it and positions it on the field of identical colour in his player corner.

After winning the category trophy or answering a question incorrectly, the next player takes his turn, determines his category space by rolling and has the chance to win a trophy.

If, later in the game, a player enters a space and already owns the category trophy, he can roll again after correctly answering a question. This step is repeated until he lands on a category space that allows him to win a further trophy, or answers a question incorrectly.

To win the game, each player has the task of winning all trophies of the nine offered categories before three rounds of the game have elapsed. If no player manages this, the player who is first to complete three laps of the board wins.

Special Cases

To increase the excitement and to give you the chance to influence the course of the game and the success and failure of your fellow players, there are numerous special cases in the game.

Battle for the Trophy ("Kampf um den Pokal"): If a player manages by rolling to enter a space that is already occupied by another player's token, the question variant "Battle for the Trophy" is activated. The prerequisite is that the active player does not yet own the trophy of the category concerned and the second player involved has already won the category trophy.

Three different question types characterize this question variant:

  1. Question without answer options shown in advance: The question is displayed on the screen without showing the possible answers.
  2. Question with picture: The question is displayed on the screen. In addition, an animated picture appears which changes slowly and, after a few seconds, makes it possible to answer the question.
  3. Question with 5 hints: The question is displayed on the screen. In addition, helpful hints appear at intervals of a few seconds, which make it possible to answer the question.

Tip: The question types "Question with picture" and "Question with 5 hints" cannot be answered by buzzing quickly, since the necessary information for answering the question becomes visible only after a delay. The additional notice "Only buzz when you know the solution!" is meant to help all players involved distinguish these two question types from a classic question.

Procedure: At the start of the question round, the buzzers of the players taking part in this round of play appear on the display. After the countdown has run out, the players' task is to claim the question for themselves by tapping the buzzer and to answer it correctly. If this succeeds, the player receives a point. If the question was answered incorrectly, the opposing player receives a point. The winner is whoever is first to reach two points. If this is the player who already owned the trophy, he can keep the trophy and receives a joker. If, however, the challenger received the two points, the trophy has been won in battle. The trophy token is now removed from the opponent's corner and positioned in the player's own corner.

If no player presses the buzzer before the answer time runs out, the round is over and the next player takes his turn.

The question variant "Battle for the Trophy" is also played when several players are already on a space and the active player enters this space without already owning the trophy.

One against All ("Einer gegen Alle"): If a player manages by rolling to enter an Alleswisser space, the question variant "One against All" is activated. The prerequisite is that the active player does not yet own the trophy of the category concerned.

Procedure: At the start of the question round, the buzzers of all players appear on the display. After the countdown has run out, the players' task is to claim the question for themselves by tapping the buzzer and to answer it correctly. If the active player succeeds, he receives a point. If the question was answered incorrectly, all opposing players receive a point. If another player can claim the question and answers it correctly, he receives a point. If this does not succeed, the active player receives a point.

The winner is whoever is first to reach two points. If this is not the active player, the round ends without a trophy win and the player or players with two points receive a joker. If, however, the active player received the two points, the trophy has been won. The trophy token of the Alleswisser category can now be positioned in the player's own corner.

If no player presses the buzzer before the answer time runs out, the round is over and the next player takes his turn.

Mini-games ("Minispiele"): If a player manages by rolling to enter the "Spiel & Spaß" (Play & Fun) space, chance decides whether a question, a mini team game or a mini-game is played. A mini-game is a task that the active player must carry out. Since there is a large number of different mini-games, the respective rules are briefly explained on the game screen and only after tapping the "Start" button does the playing time begin to run. This usually ends after 30 seconds or by tapping the "Done" ("Fertig") button.

To end the game it is in some cases necessary for the other players taking part to rate success or failure by tapping the corresponding field on the screen. The successful completion of the mini-game now has the meaning of a correctly answered question. If the game was not completed successfully, this counts as an incorrectly answered question.

Mini-game variants

"2 von 8 – Das Wörterrätsel" (2 of 8 – The Word Puzzle): The active player has the task of answering a question correctly in only 30 seconds.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. By tapping "Start" a question is shown on the screen. In the following 30 seconds this question must be solved by tapping 2 of the 8 word fragments that appear, in the correct order. Only if this succeeds before the 30 seconds run out is the mini-game won.

Tip: Since the two word fragments must be touched in the right order and only one attempt is available, the answer time should be used optimally. If the first word fragment was chosen incorrectly, it can be moved back to its original position by tapping the "Delete" ("Löschen") icon.

"4 von 8 – Auf Wörterjagd" (4 of 8 – Word Hunt): The active player has the task of touching, in only 30 seconds, 4 terms of one subject area that "fly past". Only if the correct answers are chosen before the 30 seconds run out is this mini-game won. If just one wrong answer is chosen, the mini-game is lost.

Tip: Terms that have left the screen to the left reappear on the right side after a few seconds.

"5 Fragen – 50 Sekunden" (5 Questions – 50 Seconds): The active player has the task of answering 5 questions correctly in only 50 seconds.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. It begins by tapping "Start". In the following 50 seconds, 5 questions with 2 answer options each are displayed one after another. Only if all 5 questions are answered before the 50 seconds run out is this mini-game won. If just one question is answered incorrectly, the mini-game is lost.

Tip: The correctly answered questions are counted in the upper area and each marked green.

"Aller Anfang ist schwer – Achte auf den ersten Buchstaben!" (Every Beginning Is Hard – Watch the First Letter!): The active player has the task of finding, in only 30 seconds, several words with a given initial letter.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. It begins by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds, the task and the initial letter of the words to be formed are displayed in the upper area and the answers sought must be named. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, all players can jointly confirm whether the mini-game was won.

"Auf die Plätze! Fertig! Los! – Jetzt wird's sportlich" (On Your Marks! Get Set! Go! – Now It Gets Sporty): The active player has the task of completing a sporting task in only 30 seconds.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. It begins by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task is displayed in the upper area and the sporting task must be completed. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, all players can jointly confirm whether the mini-game was won.

Tip: If it is not possible to complete the task for health reasons, all players may jointly decide whether the mini-game is counted as won.

"Buchstabenrätsel" (Letter Puzzle): The active player has the task of discovering, in only 30 seconds, one of four given words in a large number of letters. Only if the correct answer is chosen before the 30 seconds run out is this mini-game won. If the wrong answer is chosen, the mini-game is lost.

Tip: Using a joker is often advisable. It limits the number of possible solutions to 2.

"Buchstabensalat – So ein Durcheinander" (Letter Salad – What a Mess): The active player has the task of forming, in only 30 seconds, several words sought from a varying number of letters.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. It begins by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds, the task is displayed in the upper area, which reveals how many words must be formed from the letters shown. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, all players can jointly confirm whether the mini-game was won.

Tip: If the player must form several words from the letters shown, it is enough for them to consist of a small number of letters. Words such as "im", "und" or "ein" are also correct results.

"Buchstabenwirrwarr – Jetzt wird neu sortiert" (Letter Jumble – Now It's Re-sorted): The active player has the task of forming, in only 30 seconds, one word sought from a varying number of letters.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. By tapping "Start" a question is shown on the screen. In the following 30 seconds this question must be solved by tapping all letters that appear in the correct order. Only if this succeeds before the 30 seconds run out is the mini-game won.

Tip: If a letter was chosen incorrectly, all letters can be reset to their original positions by tapping the "Delete" icon.

"Kennst Du die Antworten?" (Do You Know the Answers?): The active player has the task of finding, in only 30 seconds, several words that share certain commonalities.

For 30 seconds the task is displayed in the upper area and the answers sought must be named. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, all players can jointly confirm whether the mini-game was won.

"Links oder Rechts" (Left or Right): The active player has the task of assigning, in only 30 seconds, four terms to two different subject areas by moving them to the left or right. Only if all terms are correctly positioned before the 30 seconds run out is this mini-game won. If one or more terms are positioned incorrectly, the mini-game is lost.

"Mengen erkennen" (Recognizing Quantities): The active player has the task of recognizing, in only 30 seconds, from several similar symbols the symbol that is shown most often. 4 given possible solutions are available to choose from. Only if the correct answer is chosen before the 30 seconds run out is this mini-game won. If the wrong answer is chosen, the mini-game is lost.

Tip: Especially with symbols of similar appearance, using a joker is advisable. It limits the number of possible solutions to 2.

"Perfekt sortiert!" (Perfectly Sorted!): The active player has the task of sorting or assigning, in only 30 seconds, 4 terms of one subject area. Only if all terms are in their "place" before the 30 seconds run out is this mini-game won. If just one term is placed incorrectly, the mini-game is lost.

Tip: Terms that have already been sorted can be repositioned as often as desired before the time runs out.

"Schau genau! – Das Bilderrätsel" (Look Closely! – The Picture Puzzle): The active player has the task of finding, in only 30 seconds, the answer to a question posed. This always refers to a picture shown beforehand.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. It begins by tapping "Start". In the following 10 seconds a picture appears. The active player should now memorize as many details as possible. Immediately afterwards, for 30 seconds, a question is displayed that refers to the picture, which is no longer visible. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, all players can jointly confirm whether the mini-game was won.

Tip: The questions mostly relate to quantities, colours and small picture details; nevertheless it is worthwhile to keep the "big picture" in view.

"Schnell verschoben! – Das Schiebepuzzle" (Quickly Shifted! – The Sliding Puzzle): The active player has the task of solving a puzzle in only 60 seconds. Only puzzle pieces directly adjacent to the missing puzzle piece can be moved. By simply tapping a puzzle piece it slides automatically into the place of the missing piece. Only if all 8 puzzle pieces are in their place before the 60 seconds run out does the missing puzzle piece also appear and the mini-game is won. If this does not succeed, the mini-game is lost.

Tip: To make correct positioning of the puzzle pieces easier, the outer edges of the picture are marked with narrow white lines. Numerous tips for quickly solving a sliding puzzle can also be found on the internet.

"Schnell erkannt! – Das Bilderquiz" (Quickly Recognized! – The Picture Quiz): The active player has the task of finding, in only 30 seconds, the answer to a question posed.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. It begins by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task with an associated picture is displayed in the upper area and the answer sought must be named. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, all players can jointly confirm whether the mini-game was won.

Tip: In some cases the picture shown gives helpful information for answering the task.

"Schnell platziert! – Das Puzzlespiel" (Quickly Placed! – The Jigsaw Game): The active player has the task of solving a 16-piece puzzle in only 60 seconds. Only if all puzzle pieces are in their place before the 60 seconds run out is this mini-game won. If just one puzzle piece is not placed or is placed incorrectly, the mini-game is automatically counted as lost.

Tip: Puzzle pieces only stick in the yellow-framed target area when they are placed in the right spot.

"Streichholzspiel – Das Matherätsel" (Matchstick Game – The Math Puzzle): The active player has the task of moving one matchstick to a new position in only 30 seconds in order to produce a mathematically correct equation.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. It begins by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds an equation appears whose result is not correct. The mini-game is won if the active player, before the time runs out, moves one matchstick to a new position and thereby makes the equation mathematically correct. If this does not succeed, the mini-game is automatically counted as lost.

Tip: In some cases it is necessary to move the matchsticks that make up the arithmetic signs in order to find the right solution. If a wrong matchstick was moved, it can be moved back to its original position by tapping the "Delete" icon in the lower left corner.

"Umgedreht! – Das Bilderrätsel" (Turned Over! – The Picture Puzzle): The active player has the task of recognizing a picture in only 30 seconds by turning over 3 or 4 covered fields. Only if the correct answer is chosen before the 30 seconds run out is this mini-game won. If this does not succeed, the mini-game is automatically counted as lost.

Tip: As a rule, uncovering the covered field in the middle of the picture is a helpful step toward the solution.

"Wer? Wie? Was? – Weißt Du das?" (Who? How? What? – Do You Know That?): The active player has the task of finding, in only 30 seconds, the answer or answers to a question posed.

The mini-game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. It begins by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task, and in some cases an associated picture, is displayed in the upper area. The answer or answers sought must be named. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, all players can jointly confirm whether the mini-game was won.

Tip: In some cases the picture shown gives helpful information for answering the task.

Mini team games ("Mini-Teamspiele"): If a player manages by rolling to enter the "Spiel & Spaß" space, chance decides whether a question, a mini-game or a mini team game is played. A mini team game is a task that the active player must carry out with the support of all players taking part. Since there is a large number of different mini team games, the respective rules are briefly explained on the game screen and only after tapping the "Start" button does the playing time begin to run. This ends after 30 seconds or by tapping the "Done" button.

To complete the game, it is necessary that all players taking part rate success or failure by tapping the corresponding field on the screen. The successful completion of the mini team game now has the meaning of a correctly answered question. All fellow players (except the active player) who took part in solving the task receive a joker given by the active player. If the game was not completed successfully, this counts as an incorrectly answered question.

Mini team game variants

"Beschreiben – Sei kreativ! Deine Mitspieler raten" (Describe – Be Creative! Your Fellow Players Guess): The active player has the task of describing a given term without using the word sought.

The mini team game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. Since only the active player may know which term is involved, only he may touch the "Continue" arrow and look at the following screen. This reveals in the upper area which term is to be described. After a short time to think, the active player begins the mini team game by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task disappears and the active player must describe the term sought. The players taking part are to guess it. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, the hidden task is shown to all players for checking, and all players jointly decide whether the mini team game was won.

Tip: The terms to be described are often compound nouns. These words are easier to guess if the component words are explained individually and then put together by the fellow players. To briefly show the term to be described during the 30 seconds of playing time, tapping the player icon is enough.

"Imitieren – Sei kreativ! Deine Mitspieler raten" (Imitate – Be Creative! Your Fellow Players Guess): The active player has the task of imitating (mimicking) a given term without using the word sought.

The mini team game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. Since only the active player may know which term is involved, only he may touch the "Continue" arrow and look at the following screen. This reveals in the upper area which term is to be imitated. After a short time to think, the active player begins the mini team game by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task disappears and the active player must imitate the term sought. The players taking part are to guess it. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, the hidden task is shown to all players for checking, and all players jointly decide whether the mini team game was won.

Tip: To briefly show the term to be described during the 30 seconds of playing time, tapping the player icon is enough.

"Malen – Sei kreativ! Deine Mitspieler raten" (Draw – Be Creative! Your Fellow Players Guess): The active player has the task of drawing a given term.

The mini team game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. Since only the active player may know which term is involved, only he may touch the "Continue" arrow and look at the following screen. This reveals in the upper area which term is to be drawn. After a short time to think, the active player begins the mini team game by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task disappears and the active player must draw the term sought on the screen. The players taking part are to guess it. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping the small "Done" arrow in the lower right corner early, the final screen appears. On it, the hidden task is shown to all players for checking, and all players jointly decide whether the mini team game was won.

Tip: The terms to be drawn are often compound nouns. These words are easier to guess if the component words are shown individually and then put together by the fellow players. If there is no more room on the screen, the picture already drawn can be removed by tapping the "Delete" icon in the lower left corner. To briefly show the term to be drawn during the 30 seconds of playing time, tapping the player icon is enough.

"Pantomime – Sei kreativ! Deine Mitspieler raten" (Pantomime – Be Creative! Your Fellow Players Guess): The active player has the task of acting out a given term in pantomime.

The mini team game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. Since only the active player may know which term is involved, only he may touch the "Continue" arrow and look at the following screen. This reveals in the upper area which term is to be acted out in pantomime. After a short time to think, the active player begins the mini team game by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task disappears and the active player must act out the term sought in pantomime. The players taking part are to guess it. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, the hidden task is shown to all players for checking, and all players jointly decide whether the mini team game was won.

Tip: The terms to be acted out are often compound nouns. These words are easier to guess if the component words are shown individually and then put together by the fellow players. To briefly show the term to be acted out during the 30 seconds of playing time, tapping the player icon is enough.

"Pfeifen – Sei kreativ! Deine Mitspieler raten" (Whistle – Be Creative! Your Fellow Players Guess): The active player has the task of whistling a given song.

The mini team game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. Since only the active player may know which song is involved, only he may touch the "Continue" arrow and look at the following screen. This reveals in the upper area which song is to be whistled. After a short time to think, the active player begins the mini team game by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task disappears and the active player must whistle the song sought. The players taking part are to guess it. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, the hidden task is shown to all players for checking, and all players jointly decide whether the mini team game was won.

Tip: While whistling, mentally imagine the first line of the song. This makes it easier to hit the right notes. Whistling does not come naturally to everyone, and younger players in particular find correctly whistling a melody somewhat harder. In this case, humming is exceptionally also allowed. To briefly show the song to be whistled during the 30 seconds of playing time, tapping the player icon is enough.

"Summen – Sei kreativ! Deine Mitspieler raten" (Hum – Be Creative! Your Fellow Players Guess): The active player has the task of humming a given song.

The mini team game is introduced by an explanation screen with a shortened version of this manual. Since only the active player may know which song is involved, only he may touch the "Continue" arrow and look at the following screen. This reveals in the upper area which song is to be hummed. After a short time to think, the active player begins the mini team game by tapping "Start". In the following 30 seconds the task disappears and the active player must hum the song sought. The players taking part are to guess it. After the 30 seconds have run out, or by tapping "Done" early, the final screen appears. On it, the hidden task is shown to all players for checking, and all players jointly decide whether the mini team game was won.

Tip: While humming, mentally imagine the first line of the song. This makes it easier to hit the right notes. To briefly show the song to be hummed during the 30 seconds of playing time, tapping the player icon is enough.

Jokers ("Joker"): At the start of the game, each player has three jokers available. Depending on the number of possible answers to a question, tapping the joker hides one or two answers.

Settings

The settings menu, located on the start page of the app and marked with a gear wheel, offers the possibility of adapting some game functions to your personal needs. In a running game, the settings menu is reached via the three dots at the upper right edge of the question screen or by tapping the player icon after answering a question.

Mini-games: The frequency of the mini-games played can be varied. Depending on the setting, mini-games are deactivated in the whole game ("None"), played only in the category "Spiel & Spaß" ("Only in category Spiel & Spaß"), or active in all categories ("In all categories").

Rolling with real dice: Makes it possible to use real dice or, alternatively, to roll on the display.

Rolling with two dice: If the function "Rolling with real dice" is deactivated, one or two digital dice are displayed depending on the setting.

Voice output: Depending on the type and how up to date the system is, it is possible to have questions in the game read aloud or to deactivate this function.

Notes for optimal voice output on iOS and Android devices:

On iPad and iPhone the standard voice output is usually activated. To improve the quality of speech playback in the game, depending on the installed iOS version, various language packs can be installed under "Settings" > "Accessibility" > "Spoken Content" > "Voices" > "German". By tapping "Anna" > "Anna (Enhanced)" > "Download", for example, a high-quality female voice is downloaded and installed. After the download has finished, "Anna Enhanced" must be tapped once more and a small blue check mark appears. This activates the language pack "Anna Enhanced", which is now used in the game. The installation of the language packs for "Yannick" and "Markus" is done in the same way.

On Android tablets and smartphones the standard voice output is usually activated. To significantly improve the quality of the voice output in the game, numerous changes can be made under "Settings" > "General management" or "Control" > "Language and input" > "Text-to-speech".

Here the high-quality "Google Text-to-Speech" engine should be selected. A small gear wheel next to the "Google Text-to-Speech" setting makes it possible to install various voices. Under the menu item "Install voice data" and "German (Germany)" various voices can be selected, which are now used in the game.

Battle for the Trophy: Makes it possible to activate or deactivate the function "Battle for the Trophy".

One against All: Makes it possible to activate or deactivate the function "One against All".

Three jokers in advance: Makes it possible for every player to be in possession of three jokers from the start of the game.

Two questions to win a trophy: Makes it possible to choose between two or three questions to win a trophy and thus to influence the level of difficulty significantly.

Drawing on the screen: Makes it possible in some mini team games to use the screen as a drawing surface. When this function is deactivated, a sheet of paper and a pen are needed for drawing. These are not included with the game.

Answer time + 10 seconds: Makes it possible to increase the duration of the answer time by 10 seconds.

Game end after 3 rounds: Makes it possible to deactivate the game end after 3 rounds, so that the game can only be won by collecting all 9 trophies.

Fewer questions about Germany: Makes it possible to significantly reduce the number of questions on the subject area Germany in the various categories.

Rules of the Game

After you have followed all the points given under "Getting Started – The First Time", the game begins. Regardless of the number and seating position of the players, the youngest player or the team with the youngest player (in the rest of this manual always called the "active player") always begins the game. The active player chooses between the mission types "Game" or "Battle" and starts the first round of play by tapping any category. The mission type "Attack" ("Angriff") is not yet available at the start of the game.

Depending on the mission type chosen, different tasks must now be solved:

Mission "Game": A mini-game or mini team game begins. Depending on the scope of the task, it is briefly described on the screen. The mini team games "Pantomime", "Describe", "Draw", "Imitate", "Hum" or "Whistle" are additionally explained comprehensively by tapping the question mark below the short instructions.

Trophy win in a mini-game: If the mini-game is solved correctly, the active player receives the trophy token of this category.

Trophy win in a mini team game: The active player or the active team presents the term sought. The opposing fellow players must guess the term sought. If they succeed before time runs out, the active player and the guessing fellow players receive the trophy of this category. If a fellow player already owns the trophy of the category played, he receives a joker. The active player handles the awarding of trophies and jokers to the guessing fellow players immediately after the mini team game.

Notes: The mission type "Game" can only be chosen for categories in which the active player does not yet own a trophy. All mini-game and mini team game variants are described comprehensively in the manual "Alleswisser – The Board Game".

Mission "Battle": A buzzer round for all players taking part begins.

Procedure: At the start of the question round, the buzzers of all players appear on the display. After the countdown has run out, the players' task is to claim the question for themselves by tapping the buzzer, to answer it correctly and thereby to win the trophy token of this category. If the question is answered incorrectly, all fellow players receive a joker.

If no player presses the buzzer before the answer time runs out, the round is over and the next player takes his turn.

Note: The mission type "Battle" can only be chosen for categories in which the active player does not yet own a trophy.

Mission "Attack" ("Angriff"): A buzzer round for all players taking part begins.

Procedure: At the start of the question round, the buzzers of all players appear on the display. After the countdown has run out, the players' task is to claim the question for themselves by tapping the buzzer and to answer it correctly.

If the active player succeeds, all fellow players taking part in the buzzer round lose the trophy of this category. If the active player answers incorrectly, only he loses the category trophy. If a fellow player buzzes first and answers the question correctly, the active player loses his trophy. If the fellow player answers incorrectly, only he loses the category trophy.

If no player presses the buzzer before the answer time runs out, the round is over and the next player takes his turn.

Note: The mission type "Attack" can only be chosen for categories in which both the active player and at least one fellow player own the trophy. All players who have already won the category trophy of the chosen category take part in the mission "Attack" and must try to defend their category trophy.

Winning the Game

"Alleswisser – Party" is won when a player or a team has completed all missions and at the same time owns all 9 category trophies.

The mission types "Game", "Battle" and "Attack" are completed when all green lamps below the mission button are activated. By selecting a mission type and tapping a category, the active player switches one lamp of this mission type permanently to green.

Important Tactical Tips

To fulfil both game goals at the same time and emerge from the game as the winner, all players should already during the game take care to start the individual missions at the right time.

If all trophies have already been won but the missions "Game" or "Battle" have not yet been completed, no further missions of this type can be activated. Only after the loss of a trophy is this possible again.

The mission "Attack" can only be played if at least one opponent owns the trophy of the category to be played. So observe the distribution of trophies among all players during the game and attack at the right time.

Depending on the distribution of trophies, the number of participants in the mission "Attack" varies. Many opponents reduce the chance of winning the attack, but also maximize the possible damage to the fellow players.

Often only an "Attack" prevents an opposing player's victory. In this case you should make sure that only this player competes against you, in order to increase your chances of winning. Therefore pay attention to the distribution of trophies and, if necessary, let other opponents help you ...

Even if you already own a trophy, it is worth fighting for a joker in the missions "Game" and "Battle". It helps you in answering the questions. In addition, you prevent a fellow player from winning a trophy.

If the question was answered correctly, the field of the category just played is marked with a cross. You now have the option of choosing a further category and answering the following question.

If the question was answered incorrectly, the field of the category just played is marked with a circle. The following category is chosen by the computer opponent. Nevertheless it is your task to answer the question.

To win the first round of play, you must position three crosses in a row before the computer opponent has occupied three circles in a line. If you succeed, a further round of play follows. If all fields are occupied and no player could claim a row for himself, the round of play is repeated.

The game is over when the computer opponent succeeds for the first time in positioning three circles in a row. The points earned so far are now credited to your player account.

Two-Player Variant: Rules of the Game

After you have followed all the points given under "Getting Started – The First Time", the game begins.

The younger player now has the task of selecting the first question by touching one of the 9 category fields shown and of answering it by tapping the correct answer on the display before the answer time of 30 seconds runs out.

If the question was answered correctly, the field of the category just played is marked with the player's symbol. This can be either a cross or a circle. If the question was answered incorrectly, the field of the category just played is marked with the opponent's symbol.

Now the opposing player has the task of choosing a category, answering the corresponding question and winning the next category field for himself.

A round of play counts as won when one of the two players has positioned three identical symbols in a row. If all fields are occupied and no player could claim a row for himself, the round of play is repeated.

The game is over when one of the two players has won 5 rounds.

The Scoring System

During a game you have the chance to collect points by correctly answering questions. After the game ends these are credited to the points account. In the two-player variant only the winner receives the points earned.

Within a round of play you receive points for each correctly answered question. The point bonus for the first question is 10 points. For each further correctly answered question the number of points increases by 10. For each incorrectly answered question, points are deducted from the points account. The point loss for the first question is 10 points. For each further incorrectly answered question the number of points falls by 10.

Example: Answer correct (10 points) + further answer correct (20 points) = total score 30 points

Answer correct (10 points) + wrong answer (-10 points) = total score 0 points

At the end of a round of play, the respective round score is multiplied by the round bonus.

Example: Total score at the end of the round of play 60 points * round bonus of round 9 = 540 points
