Age of Steam
Can Age of Steam be played with two players?
The designer said it is not a two-player game, and a later reply confirmed two-player maps work with any edition.

Not on the standard maps — three players is the minimum and four is the intended sweet spot. Maps designed for two players, such as St. Lucia or Scotland, work with any edition of the game since player count is set by the map.
