Do I put a Town marker on a Dedicated Town tile?
The rulebook says markers go on simple or complex tiles in a Town hex.

No. Dedicated Town tiles have the town printed on them, so markers go only on simple or complex tiles placed on town hexes. A marker is removed if its tile is replaced by a Dedicated Town tile.
