How does cotton work on the Southern US map?
The rulebook's Southern U.S. section states this, and forum posters agree.

A white Cotton cube starts in every Town, and stays on the New City if the town is urbanized. Cotton is delivered like other cubes, including from a non-urbanized town, but it must end its movement at one of the four major ports (Charleston, Savannah, Mobile, New Orleans), so it cannot continue through one port to another. It then leaves the game and earns +1 extra income.
