When is income reduction applied, and is the last turn exempt?
The designer said players skipping the last-turn reduction were using a variant.

After players collect income and pay expenses, in the Income Reduction phase, and it applies every turn your marker ends in a reduction bracket, including the last turn; skipping it on the final turn is a variant.
