The Card
The card prints no name. The title "Watch It Played Building Promo Card" is the BGG item name. The back of the card is generic art with no rules text and is not transcribed.
- Gold tile with 3 (top left): The card's cost is 3. Buying a building costs coins equal to its cost, paid to the supply (base rulebook, Build action: "He must pay an amount of coins to the supply equal to the cost of the card.").
- Key symbol (below the cost tile): A key. The base rulebook identifies key house cards by this symbol ("9 Key House Cards (notice the Key Symbol)"). This card is therefore a Key House card. The base rulebook does not describe any effect of the key symbol itself.
- Blue arrow (left, pointing at the blue tile): An arrow symbol next to a good. Base rulebook, Refresh Goods on Buildings: "If any player owns a house or outpost with an arrow symbol next to a good, and there is currently not a good on the card, place one of the appropriate goods there."
- Blue tile (left, beside the arrow): A white bowl of round items on a blue ground, showing the type of good the arrow refers to. Read from the photo as fruit (base rulebook lists Fruit among the Common Goods, and the card's apple tree matches it). This identification is a judgment call from a hand-held photo; the base rulebook text does not name the picture.
- Hand (lower left): A white open-hand symbol. The base rulebook does not define a hand symbol. The card's effect is taken from the BGG item description: "receive a cider, once per round, when you do a harvest action." Harvest is the base rulebook's Harvest action ("Villagers harvest goods from houses or outposts.").
- Barrel with cider mark (lower left, below the hand): A cider barrel. Base rulebook, Cider: "Place a cider on the cider icon on the reputation board if it does not already have one." Ciders are tokens in the supply that can be spent as coins or to move a villager from exhausted to ready (base rulebook, Symbols: "Cider/Potions as Coins"; base rulebook, round end: "If a player spends a cider, he may move one villager from the exhausted area to the ready area.").
- Gold hexagon with 1 (lower right): A village point token worth 1. Base rulebook, Symbols: "Village Points: The player with the most village points at the end of the game is the winner. A card with this symbol would give extra village points (e.g. 3)." The BGG item description gives the card's end-of-game value as one Victory Point when the card is added to the village.
Notes
- The BGG item description gives the effect as "receive a cider, once per round, when you do a harvest action." The base rulebook has no hand symbol, so this timing comes from the description and not from an icon printed on the card.
- The card's arrow points at a good; the base rulebook's Refresh Goods on Buildings rule applies to it at the end of each round (see the base rulebook's Refresh Goods on Buildings section).
