How do the BOOM mission blast, reward and the detonator work?

The detonator is carried to the target and jettisoned as an action within range, and you get one action and unlimited minor actions before it goes off. The reward is paid once, only if the target is inside the blast; other ships in the blast take damage but do not count. A blast outside the Kiln does not hit ships docked in it, but one detonated inside does.
