Can I use the Oceania player mat side without playing with nectar?
A Stonemaier staff reply said the Oceania boards can be used and nectar ignored.

Yes. The Oceania side is an alternative way to play; ignore the nectar symbols or use nectar properly. Either the original or the Oceania mats work with the base game or European Expansion.
