Where does a Duet token come from if I play a bird on top of another, and what if I run out of tokens?
The rulebook says the mat tokens are only reminders and tells you to substitute past 15 birds.

Take it from any space on your mat or your pool, because the tokens on your player mat are only reminders and have no fixed position. If you ever play more than 15 birds, use a substitute token.
