When a power says to draw or gain a bird card, can I take it from the tray or only the deck?
The rulebook gives the default and a Stonemaier staff reply confirmed that gain and draw are interchangeable.

You choose either: one of the three face-up cards or the top of the deck. Only text such as 'from the deck' narrows it. For bird cards 'gain' and 'draw' mean the same thing. Powers that tuck from the deck say so explicitly.
