If a card gives boost per adjacent card, do the boost spaces on adjacent cards matter?
Two posters agree (one hedged), and the rulebook defines adjacency as orthogonal.

No. You gain one boost on the card for each adjacent card, however many boost spaces those cards have. Adjacency is orthogonal only.
