What does an ability card that says 'gain the result of another action' do, and do I pay the location's cost?

You perform the ability card's own action at the card's printed cost instead of the location action, ignoring the location's cost, then read the matching action's result in the storybook at step 7 and add any extra benefit printed on the card. You commit to the ability before learning the location action's cost, and the location action must actually be available.
