What is the difference between playing 1-2 cards to my display and shipping them? Do I refill my hand?
The rulebook lists the options separately, and players confirm refilling applies only to the display option.

Playing 1 or 2 cards to your display scores nothing now and you refill your hand with the same number from the face-down pile. Shipping to a ship tile scores victory points immediately and does not refill your hand. Cards from either option end up in your display.
