It can start on any melee, Baddie, Gearloc or Mech starting position, and its Tyrant die is not rolled on its own turn but only when it comes up in initiative. It counts as part of the Gearloc team, so all results help the Gearlocs. It is treated as a Tyrant and goes to the top of the Initiative meter when it enters.
