Tichu
May I call Tichu while cards are being passed?
The rulebook allows a call before the cards are pushed; one poster cites a stricter German rule.

Yes under the printed rules: Tichu may be called any time before your first card, and a call before the pass is explicitly described as useful for asking a partner to push their best card. Some groups, citing the German rules, forbid calling in the middle of the pass, so check your table's house rule.
