When can green Booster cards be played, and how long do they last?

Any time after card passing is complete. Those that allow new combinations remain in force until the end of the round, but the usual rule still applies: a combination is beaten only by a higher one of the same type, so you cannot answer a straight with a Flower unless the card says otherwise.
