In Part 8, what happens when your rolled number matches a house that is already saved or destroyed?

The rulebook states this directly.

Smaug's attack misses and you counterattack: fill in that number in the Smaug section. A house is saved by connecting Bard to it, which circles its numbers; if all its numbers are already filled or circled, the roll hits Smaug instead. Nothing happens if that Smaug number is already filled.
