A dwarf is saved when it is linked to both your path from the Dell and an eagle flight path, in either order. Each sword or eagle you gain lets you advance one of the 3 flight paths up to the arrow at the next pine tree, working right to left. The adventure ends when all dwarves in trees are connected to both.
