Do swords and bread carry over from Part 7 to Part 8?
The rulebook states this directly.

Only in Epic Mode. Normally each part is standalone and Part 8 starts you with 5 swords. In Epic Mode you carry over all swords collected and all bread left from Part 7, and combine both scores.
