The Gallerist
Can I use the International Market if I have no Assistant, even if a bonus would give me one?
The designer ruled you need an available Assistant and the rulebook's market text requires placing one.

No. You need an Assistant already available (in your office or on a Location space) to place on the table. An Assistant you would gain from that space's own bonus cannot pay for the entry. All three requirements (Lobby Visitors, the Work or money, and an Assistant) must be met first.
