Which icons count when I place a tile, those on the tile I place or the ones under it?
The rulebook describes covering icons and the colour of the placed tile.

The rule is that you check the icons you are covering: a covered icon scores 1 VP when the same icon sits on your new tile above it. The temple advance depends on the colour of the icon on the tile you place.
