Can I set aside equipped Items for a Combat, and does Shatter hit them?
The rulebook says Items may be set aside before Combat and Shatter hits Weapons used.

Yes. Before Combat, Party members may set aside Items they won't use, and none can be added once Combat begins. Shatter discards only the Weapons you were using. The German edition words this differently (Items are flipped and stay disabled for the day).
