How does the agriculture track produce food, and do I keep a surplus?
The rulebook says you take 1 food per agriculture level and keep leftovers.

At feeding you first take one food for each step on the agriculture track, then pay one food per figure, so a high track gives surplus food you keep for later rounds. It is added food, not a discount, and surplus food scores nothing at game end.
