Save at the start of any turn: record the ship's state and bag the components. Players suggest bagging fatigue, command and equipped cards too, since leaving fatigue out would let you clear it by saving, and keeping used event cards apart from unused ones. You may add or remove players when saving using the add/remove player steps.
