What do the Discard Ability and Disarm enemy effects take?

Discard Ability makes the crew discard one equipped ability card (never one from hand) and the active player chooses which; Disarm removes one equipped weapon card from a crew member at end of round, also chosen by the active player. Adjacent +1/+2 means neighbouring enemies deal that extra damage at end of round until the box is covered.
