Can I use a worker I gain mid-round (black worker, Kiev space 7, new worker)?
The rulebook gives the worker immediately; players agree on when it can be placed.

Yes, on a later turn in the same round, as long as you have not passed. 'Immediately' means you receive it at once, not that you take an extra action. If you have already passed, it cannot be placed that round.
