Can I place a worker on the turn order space under my own position, or both spaces?

No in a 3 or 4-player game: you cannot use the space under your current position, nor occupy both spaces. In a 2-player game you may place under your own current position. If the first player takes the second space and no one takes the first, the order does not change.
