How does Galactic Renaissance score for VP chips?

It counts the total VP value of all your chips together, not the number of chips or their denominations, and scores on a rising scale: 1-2 gives +1, 3-5 gives +2, 6-9 gives +3, 10-14 gives +4, and so on, on top of its 6.
