In a battle: Advantages matching the foe's traits, Wild, and your terrain's. In a dungeon: the trait on the dungeon token, Wild, terrain Advantages of the space, and any effect worded for dungeons. Text that says it applies to battle cards (like Leather Armor) or to battles (like the Brutal Warlord's Veteran) does not work in a dungeon, since exploring is a Quest action. Advantages that apply to a battle do not apply to a quest either.
