How does an improved Shadow Wolves card that removes another wolf work?

Improving the card gets you to remove an additional Shadow Wolf from the board. Choose a wolf token and take it off; the app updates its roster automatically, so you do not use the Remove Foe option. A good effect should never give you a corruption, so if no other wolf is left to remove, nothing happens.
