Do I gain only one corruption per battle card, and does the battle continue after I take it?
The rulebook states the one-per-effect limit and the designer confirmed the card still resolves.

Yes. An unpayable loss gives at most one corruption per effect, such as a battle card or dungeon room. You lose everything you can, take the corruption, still resolve the rest of the card, and keep fighting. Taking a corruption does not end or lose the battle; only a third corruption loses the game. Building destruction and 'gain a corruption' effects are the exceptions.
