Are the Infused virtue and Spymaster's Haggle banner action optional, and can the Undaunted Aegis peek at a corruption?

Virtues are always optional, so Infused does not force a skull removal. The Spymaster's Haggle Banner can be used from any space and gives only the tangible results (gear, warriors or a potion). The Aegis may look at the corruption another player is about to take before deciding.
