Can I use the expansions in competitive mode?

Only partly. The app does not allow Alliances in competitive mode because guilds can be oppressive there, though its heroes, treasures and power skulls can be used without the guilds. Covenant's heroes, treasures and corruptions work, but its monuments do not.
