If the last adversary card gives me a third corruption, do I lose? Can I absorb the last cards with corruptions?

You lose if any card, including the final one, would give you a third corruption. A card gives at most one corruption for an unpayable loss, so someone with no corruptions can absorb the last two cards, but some adversary cards hand corruptions to other heroes or add building-destruction corruptions, so you can lose even from zero.
