How many essences do Fiery Whip, Corrupt Altar and Vortex of Destruction give for a destroyed artifact?

Count the essences in the destroyed artifact's placement cost (Gold counts as 1), add 2, and take that many non-Gold essences in any mix. The types need not match the cost, and you never get Gold. Philosopher's Stone, with a cost of 8, therefore yields 10.
