Is the suit of the first card a trump suit for the whole game?
The rulebook describes only a per-trick leading suit, and forum replies confirm there is no trump.

No — the led suit only matters for the trick it starts, and everyone must follow it if able. There is no trump in the game; only a few specific cards change suit rules. The "trump" wording in the German text is a translation slip.
