Cards you check are revealed to everyone, cards passed over stay out of the discard until the search finishes, Search uses printed costs, and you can search for a consume card that consumes two or more goods (such as Consumer Markets or Gene Designers). When searching for a windfall world you name its category (cost or defense), not its production type.
